Kidsafe Tutors

Kidsafe UK is a registered charity (1105179) established and operating in Cumbria and North Lancashire delivering preventative child protection/safeguarding programmes to primary school children alongside supporting workshops for their parents/carers.

Dean Barwick School has one trained tutor, Helen Fothergill.

The primary purpose of the Kidsafe UK Children’s programme is to equip participating children with simple, yet effective skills to keep themselves safe. The Children’s programme is delivered in the classroom setting with active participation from class teachers. The course material is always age-appropriate with key messages delivered through the use of a variety of media including song, rhyme and action, puppetry, group discussions and worksheets.
