The School Day

School starts 9:00 am and finishes 3:15 pm; parents can drop off their children from 8.30am where they are supervised in the playground until 8.55am when they enter school.

Currently this amounts to 31.25 hours in a typical week. From September 2023 this will be raised to the governments target of 32.5 hours per week, further information and consultation will take place in Spring 2023.

The register is taken twice daily at 9am and 1pm; if your child is absent from school please ring the school office before 8.30am and leave a message giving reasons for their absence.

Lessons start at 9.10am.

Break time takes place at 10.30am until 10.50am for all children; lunchtime from 12noon until 1pm - children eat in their classrooms and then go out to play.

Children in Nursery, Reception and Key stage 1 are entitled to an afternoon break - this takes place at various times depending on the class timetable. Children in Nursery and Reception also benefit from continuous provision, giving them access to their own dedicated outdoor play area and they take part in planned activities throughout the day.

We host a range of extra curricular clubs and activities after school which change each term and we also run a very well attended After School Club.
